Instructions for downloading e-books to your ereader PDF Print E-mail

Step 1: Download Adobe Digital Editions onto your PC or laptop from http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/. This is a free download from Adobe.

Step 2: Go to your favourite e-book site and select the books you wish to purchase.

Step 3: Save the books into Adobe Digital Editions and not your e-reader.

Step 4: Connect your e-reader to your PC. The reader may ask you to choose between charging and downloading books. Select download option.

Step 5: The name of your reader will appear on the left hand side in your Adobe Digital Editions panel.

Step 6: Click and drag the book you want onto your reader and Adobe will say “copying files”.

Step 7: Disconnect device. Your reader may then tell you it is updating the database.

Step 8: Read your book and enjoy.

 

Troubleshooting your ereader

If your ereader has a frozen display this can be resolved by

-charging the unit fully, only then reset the device.

The iRiver Story can be reset by pushing the reset button with a paper clip

The Cover Story can be reset by pushing the power on/off and the HOME button at the same time for 10 Secs

The Bookeed Orizon has a reset button on the rear
